Where Champions Begin
The NAB AFL Auskick program is where it all starts and is the best introduction for kids into the world of Australian Football. Auskickers run, jump, kick, pass and have fun while learning the basics of football.
Through skill games, activities, and modified match practice, participants will learn and familiarise themselves with all the skills required to become the next AFL champion!
AFL Auskick is fun for the kids and is facilitated with the help of parents volunteers and managed by the community, for the community.
No matter if you know the game or not, Auskick at the Mosman Swans is inclusive for everyone aged no younger than turning 5, and no older than turning 8. If your child is older than 8 and is interested in Auskick, please contact us to discuss.

Auskick 2025
Auskick is held at 8.30am Sundays at Allan Border Oval.
Auskick is divided into groups based on age:
Turning 5 and 6 year olds – skills are taught through a series of fun games and drills by volunteer parent coaches/assistants
Turning 7 year olds – skills continue to be taught through drills, with the introduction of game play to prepare children for junior football. This is a safe, no tackle game.
Girls – there will be an opportunity for girls to join a dedicated girls group, to increase confidence and feed into our U10 girls team.
Parent Involvement
Auskick is a parent volunteer run program. It is expected that all parents will join in with activities and assist with games and drills.
Parents are encouraged to participate under the guidance of the coaches and they are amply rewarded by fun quality time in physical activity with their children.
The success of the program and the enjoyment of the children rests on the level of parent involvement achieved – please expect to be part of each session if you register your child to play. You don’t need to know anything about AFL – information to support parents is available online and through our club contacts.
Uniforms and Other Gear
The AFL supplies Auskickers with a welcome pack with a ball and various other promotional items, sent directly to your postal address.
All first year registrants in Auskick will receive a free Mosman Swans guernsey and shorts. Additional gear (socks, hoodies) will be available for purchase during the first few rounds of the season
NSW Government’s Active and Creative Kids Voucher
Parents, guardians and carers receiving Family Tax Benefit can apply for an Active and Creative Kids voucher for each eligible child.
